Why are my UpTogether Card transactions being denied?

Please note: Protecting the funds on the Prepaid Card is your responsibility. UpTogether cannot replace any money spent while a physical or virtual card is lost or stolen. Unauthorized charges will have to be disputed directly with the vendor.

Below are some of the common reasons as to why your transactions may be denied.

  1. The UpTogether Card has not been activated. In order to start using your card, you must first activate your card. Click here to learn how to activate your card.
  2. Insufficient funds. This means that your UpTogether Card Balance does not have insufficient funds to complete the transaction. NOTE: Charges that are pending will count against your balance. Those pending charges need to clear before you can continue to charge to the card if you still have a balance.
