Your profile is how other members get to know you on Connect. By sharing a few details about yourself—like your interests, hobbies, and a photo—you’ll make it easier for others to find you, connect with you, and grow your community.
Follow the steps below to set up your profile and start connecting!
Step 1.
Log in to your UpTogether account and click on “Groups” to go to the Connect site.
Then, click your name in the top-right corner of the page. Select “Profile” and then “Edit.”
Step 2.
You’ll see your Basic Information section where you can review and update your name, pronouns, and other profile details.
If you’d like to update your contact information:
Click the arrow icon in the purple header next to Profile to open the profile menu.
Select “Contact Information.”
You can now update your email address, phone number, and mailing address.
If you’re taken out of Connect, click the “Groups” tab to return, then click your profile picture → Profile → Edit to go back to your profile options.
Step 3 - Add your profile and cover photos
In your profile menu, click “Profile Photo.”
Upload or drag and drop your photo, or use your device’s camera by selecting “Take Photo.”
Adjust and crop your image so it fits nicely in the circle frame, then click Save.
To add a cover photo, click “Cover Photo” and upload your image the same way.
Tip: If you started from the Connect page, updating your profile here will also update what others see on Connect — both profiles are now connected.
Step 4 - Add more details about yourself
Go to the Connect or Groups tab.
Click your name → Profile → Edit.
Under Personal, add your interests, hobbies, or social media links.
Click Save when you’re done.
Adding these details helps other members find you and connect based on shared interests and experiences.
Step 5 - Connect with other members
Once your profile is complete:
Use the Search bar on Connect to find members or groups that interest you.
Join a Group or reply to a post to start a conversation.
Follow other members or send a message to stay in touch.
A complete profile helps build stronger connections and a more supportive community.
